Pip,,,,, Well, here it is, almost ready for a commissioning ceremony.
Next weekend. Attach more Solar Panels,, fix tail lights,,, paint,,, and install jerry can holders,, then tidy up.
Vik,,,,,, Hi Peeps, Pip and I have put our heart and soul into this project, and we are happy to say that a few little things left to be done, and it's finally finished.. After we bantered a few names around, like The Castle, Grey Nomads, Voyager, The Tardis,, well, you know how it goes,,, we FINALLY decided on SKYLAB2,, because it looks a bit spacey, has legs like the Luna module has everything that opens and shuts, and 2 large batteries,,,, and if one was to fall down the ladder its a good drop to mother earth.... let's just hope it doesn't have the same destiny as its namesake...
Last night was our first night sleeping in the loft,, it was very cozy and comfortable, after a hot sticky day the evening breeze kicked in, and because the window flaps were all open we had a beautiful cool night. as you can see in the pics it folded up nice and compact with minimal effort, easily a one-person job but another set of hands doesn't go astray..
STAY TUNED... we head for salt lake in South Australia,, Lake Gairdner, on the 10th of march for the land speed racing.
